FAQ’s
What is The Backyard?
We want to create a space for the community to come together and do something! Enjoy a meal in downtown Wheaton at Dough, 302 or one of the many other great restaurants and then come on by! We’ll usually have something going on!
Is the space open?
Yes! We are finally open. Here are the hours. Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Wednesdays and Thursdays 4:00p-11:00p. Friday 4:00p-12:00a. Saturday 11:00a-12:00a. Sunday 11:00a-9:00p. If there’s a big game on, we will adjust our hours.
Is it a private event space?
Not necessarily. We want the space to be accessible daily. We are open to private or corporate events during the day, but will typically have scheduled entertainment during the evenings. It’s a large space, so if you’re looking for something for 20-30, a partial buy out is the way to go!
Will there be food?
Yes! Now that Dough is open, you can order from the full menu.
Can I bring the kids?
We understand that Wheaton is a very family friendly town. However, we would like The Backyard to be a destination for adults. Ages 16+ please.
Are pets allowed inside?
Only service dogs will be allowed inside Dough and The Backyard. ESAs do not fall under the ADA and will not be allowed inside. Service animals may be asked if they are a service animal and what service they have been trained to perform. If a service animal poses a direct threat to the health or safety to others or if the animal is not housebroken it will be asked to leave. Service dogs must remain on the concrete areas and not on the turf grass.
Do I need a reservation?
Currently, no.
